Where appropriate, FAIR will respond to any items of relevance
picked up by the monitoring process. We respond to both
objectionable material and material that is worthy of praise.
However, without
the active involvement of individuals we will only make minimal
impact. To make a real difference we need to make our collective
voices heard. Actions Alerts are sent out to subscribers requesting
responses to items of relevance in the Daily News Digest.
To encourage and
facilitate responding to articles and making format complaints we
have prepared some guidelines to give general guidance on preparing
effective complaints and to provide information on who all the
regulatory bodies are that deal with complaints relating to
different forms of media.
