A Muslim Response - Counter-Terrorism Discussion Paper |
In December 2001, in its attempts to fight the threat of terrorism, the Government introduced 'emergency'
legislation, the Anti Terrorism Crime and Security Act 2001 (ATCSA 2001).
In response to the Government’s Discussion Paper, entitled, ‘Counter-Terrorism Powers: Reconciling
Security and Liberty in an Open Society: A Discussion Paper', FAIR compiled a survey aimed to assess the impact of the
anti-terror legislation on the Muslim community in Britain as part of its response to the Government's Discussion Paper.
The response paper was prepared in collaboration with the Al-Khoei Foundation and The Muslim College.
