FAIR is pleased to announce the launch of the Muslims on Education Paper. The launch was chaired by
Baroness Uddin and Dr Sheikh Zaki Badawi at the House of Lords on Wednesday 9th June 2004. The paper
was jointly produced by the Association of Muslim Social Scientists (AMSS UK), the Forum Against
Islamophobia and Racism (FAIR UK), FED 2000 and the Muslim College UK. The aim of the paper is to
highlight concerns of the Muslim community in the present education system and to push for Muslim
educationalists to be given a role in the consultation process where national and local education
policy is being formulated.
